What did you do duirng your quarantine time? Mike Shinoda making music almost everyday during his quarantine time while streaming on twitch. Almost everyday, then he put it in his new album called Dropped Frame. He is my inspiration, making me want to stay creative too. That’s why I bought a cheap studio photo equipment that I can set up in my bedroom.
I mostly took a picture of my hotwheels collection and posted in my OmJinJon instagram account.
Then my friend at the office saw my instagram post of my studio setup, she wants me to take a picture of her using my studio setup at the office, she wants some new pictures for her profile. With that I also asked my whole team member at the office who wants to have a new profile pictures, then some of them are interested. So I brought my studio equipment to the office and set it up.
It’s very simple setup, you just need 2 lights from both side (left & right) along with its difuser and white backdrop that can absorb the lights and doesn’t reflect the light. I only spent like $150 for the whole setup. We’re using Olympus OM-D EM10 with leica dg 42.5mm f/1.2 nocticron as the lens.
With help from my designer, we’re just playing around with different lighting setup to get various results of the photo. Here are some photos that we took.
So far I’m very happy with the result, even though I’m very new when it comes to photo studio, I need to learn more about different setup, using different gears, about different lens, and most important I have to learn how to direct the model with good pose and I should have a clear concept before I take a picture.
