Every app has an origin story, even the silly ones. Before it was PixelNonsense, it lived as a barebones experiment called Brick It!. Brick It! was as minimal as it gets, an effect: a circle pixelation filter. Light mode only (sorry, night owls). No mobile version.A flat “brick” look that felt more like a placeholder than a finished effect. Basically, it was the MVP of nonsense. Functional, funny, but not much more. Then I did something ridiculous: I wireframed the whole thing. Yes, a wireframe for a joke app. That was my way of saying, “Okay, this might be stupid, but let’s at least make it good stupid.”From there, I pushed it through Google Gemini 2.5 Pro and vibe-coded my way into version two: PixelNonsense. This time, it came with upgrade effects instead of one, including a Lego-brick-ish mode with drop shadows and a 3D look. A smoother mobile and desktop experience. Dark mode, because who are we kidding, we all live in dark mode.
